Weighing in on Week 10

When I started my blog, I never intended to be sharing a weight loss journey. However, sharing my progress has become a method of accountability for me. I know that after each weigh-in I will have to post my numbers on here. This has helped me consistently track my foods and watch what I eat. I’m not saying I don’t go off-track every once in a while, but sharing my journey in this way has helped keep me accountable.

I have some good news to share – after this week’s weigh in, I am down 1.4 lbs – making my total weight loss so far 19.8 lbs! It’s motivating that the numbers continue to go in the downward direction. I would love to be at the 25 lb mark by Thanksgiving.

I am still loving Zumba. It doesn’t seem to make my joints ache as much as the treadmill did. I look forward to the classes each day and I can’t believe how fast time flies during them. I encourage you all to find an exercise you enjoy doing. Once you find one you love, it won’t feel like exercise at all, and it will become your new hobby.

Here is my meal plan for this week:

Breakfasts:
  • Eggs (0 SP), Al Fresco Chicken Bacon – 2 slices (1 SP), potatoes (2 SP) – 3 SP Total
  • Oatmeal – 2 SP
  • Bananas – 0 SP
  • Strawberries – 0 SP
Lunches:
  • Chicken Fajitas (grilled chicken breast (0 SP), tortilla (1 SP), fat-free refried beans (0 SP)) – 1 SP total
  • Corn – 0 SP

( I know I had these for lunch last week, but I bought enough chicken for two weeks, so it’s on the menu again.)

Dinners (It’s time to prep my meals with 5 Dinners 1 Hour again):
  • Sunday – Zesty Grilled Chicken (4SP)
  • Monday- Leftovers/Take out (weigh-in & Bible study night)
  • Tuesday – Salads
  • Wednesday – Zesty Grilled Chicken (leftovers 4 SP)
  • Thursday – Salads
  • Friday – Holiday Mini Meatloaves (7 SP)
  • Saturday – Slow Cooked Beef Stroganoff (6 SP)
Snacks:
  • Bananas – 0 SP
  • Cheese Sticks – 1 SP
  • Weight Watchers Chocolate Supreme Mug Cake – 3 SP
  • Breyers No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream – 4 SP
  • Great Value Turkey Sausage Sticks (1 stick) – 1 SP
  • Lays Poppables 0.5 oz Snack Packs – 2 SP
  • Cookie bars – 6 SP
Workouts:
  • Monday – Weigh In (No Zumba – Sad face)
  • Tuesday – Zumba
  • Wednesday – Zumba
  • Thursday – Zumba
  • Saturday – Zumba

I generally can fit four Zumba classes in a week, but I squeezed in five last week. On Monday, I weighed in at the 10:30am WW meeting, and since I weighed in early, I was able to go to the evening Zumba class. Yay! More Zumba! I won’t be doing this regularly, though. It made me late for work because the line to weigh in was so long and it took forever to get through. It was sure nice to get in that extra class, though.
