Well, another Thanksgiving has come and gone. How did you fare with your diet? Me, I think I did good. I enjoyed all that yummy Thanksgiving food, but I tried to do so in moderation (and let me be the first to say that it was not easy!). However, keeping myself aware of that “satisfied” feeling before I overate really helped me stay on track.

At the WW weigh-in this week, it was time to face the music. Believe it or not (I sure didn’t), I was down 1.4 lbs. I was so surprised to see those numbers! This makes my total weight loss 22.4 lbs. – I am almost to the 25 lb. mark!

Sadly, I didn’t get to do much Zumba last week due to Thanksgiving and other issues beyond my control, but I hope to return to my regular “booty-shakin’” workout schedule this week.

I’m also hoping to get back to my regular meals after eating leftovers for what has seemed like forever (can anybody give me an “Amen!”?). My meal plan for the upcoming week is as follows:

  • Fat Free Cheese – 0 SP

Workouts:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday – 4 Days of Zumba! Woo-hoo!!

Like many of you, Christmas celebrations are popping up all over my calendar. While I want to enjoy all the foods I can at these events, it’s so important that I eat them in moderation. This becomes even tougher when the foods that are served are family favorites. However, I have a plan to stay focused and it’s very simple – eat the foods I love, but watch how much I eat of them. See, I told you it was simple.

What are some of your favorite Christmas treats? How do you keep from overeating them? Let me know in the comments.

Tool of the week:

Bluetooth headphones are great for walks outside, home workouts, and the gym.

This is the pair I have, but there are many brands and designs available. Amazon also has many headphones on sale at this time of year. Find a pair of headphones that work for you.
