While each week brings its own challenges, the weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas can be some of the hardest for those of us trying to lose or maintain weight. With goodies around every corner, in every breakroom, or at every party and dinner, it remains a constant struggle to stick to a meal plan.

At last week’s weigh-in, I am down 0.8 lbs making my total weight loss 23.2 lbs – still a little shy of my milestone weight loss goal of 25 lbs. But while these numbers might not be ones I like to see most weeks, at least they’re still going down, and at this time of year, I’m considering any weight loss a win.

With the holidays upon us, enjoy all of your parties and gatherings, eat what you love in moderation, and track what you eat. Being mindful of what you’re eating will help keep the extra pounds off and make it easier to stay on your plan even after all the events are over.

What are you doing to keep extra Christmas pounds away? I would love to hear about them in the comments.

Tool of the Week:

Gym Towels – The gym might have a towel service, but on occasion, there were no towels available. Now that I’m going to Zumba classes, towel service isn’t an option. These towels are great in your gym bag for your exercise class or for the gym.
