While I haven’t been posting about my weight loss the past few weeks, I have still been attending my weekly meetings and weigh-ins. No, I haven’t been slacking off, I have just been enjoying a well-needed break from my laptop. But now the time has come to bite the bullet and get back to work.

At my week 15 weigh-in, I was down 0.8 lbs; week 16 I was down 0.2 lbs; and week 17 I am down 1 lb. These three weigh-ins bring my total weight loss so far to 25.2 lbs.

Weigh in

As I stand at the 2019, I look forward to continuing my weight loss journey. 2018 was filled with its fair share of challenges, obstacles, and disappointments, but it also had a good amount of positives – both of which I have shared with you. Looking forward into 2019, the amount of weight I would like to lose is most likely more than I can lose in a year’s time, but I’m going to give it my best effort. Is this a resolution? No, I don’t do resolutions   – I set goals and work on them all year and sometimes for several years.

To  start 2019, my planned meals for next week are as follows:

Breakfasts:
  • Egg & Sausage Burritos- 3 SP
  • Oatmeal – 2 SP
  • Banana – 0 SP
Lunches:

Turkey Meatballs in Marinara over Squash Noodles – 6 SP

Snacks:
  • Lays Poppables – 2 SP
  • Bananas – 0 SP
  • Cheese Stick – 1 SP
  • Turkey Stick – 1 SP

  • Watch Your Weight Cakes – 3 SP
Workouts:

Zumba classes were called off for the week of Christmas. Though disappointing, I’ve been having some pain issues, so a week off gave my joints some time to rest and heal. It was definitely good to get back to the classes, though. I goto Zumba Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday.

Tool of the Week

My fitness tool of the week is a good pair of shoes. Whether you hit the gym, walk briskly outside or enjoy a fitness class as I do, a great pair of shoes is a must. Have a look a the ASICS Women’s Gel-Cumulus 17 Running Shoe.  Remember though, no one shoe fits all, so pick out what feels good (and definitely looks good) to you. Here’s a look at my Fitness Shopping Guide if you’re looking to buy a gift for someone who loves all things fitness.
